FAQs

In an AQ2000 system what is the particle size of the water mist and how does that compare to high pressure systems?

Our 'low pressure' systems operate with particle size is between 250-500 microns, at an operating pressure of between 3 and 10 bar.

High pressure water misting produces a finer particle size in the rage od 10-150 microns. These systems operate at pressures of up to 100 bar, and require special high-pressure pipe work. Because the particles are very fine they can drift and not penetrate the fire zone if there are any draughts or air movement. They are usually used for very specific applications in confined spaces such as turbines. They are fixed systems, and operate rapidly, with a relatively small amount of water. There is very little 'wetting' effect.
